Independent Venous Providers

Independent in practice. United in purpose.

iVPS is a member-led community of independent venous providers who share what works, hold one another to a high standard of ethical care, and build collective strength — from our annual symposium to a growing group-purchasing program.

What iVPS is

Stronger independent, together.

What began as a handful of independent physicians comparing notes by email has grown into a national community of venous practices that stay independent — and get better by working together.

Annual symposium

Each year, members gather for candid, practical education on the clinical, operational, and business realities of running an independent venous practice.

A trusted peer network

A private space to share resources, compare approaches, and get straight answers from colleagues who run practices like yours.

Group buying power

Through the iVPS Buying Group, members access vendor partnerships and pricing that independent practices rarely secure on their own.

How we started

From an email thread to a fifth annual symposium.

iVPS wasn't founded in a boardroom. It grew, year by year, out of conversations between independent physicians who wanted to learn from each other.

2015

It started with an email.

A small group of independent venous physicians began trading notes — on EMRs and meaningful use, on reimbursement, and on new techniques like the newly approved VenaSeal.

2015–2019

The circle widened.

The thread kept going, and more independent providers were added to the conversation.

2019

An idea: bring everyone together.

The idea of a first in-person iVPS symposium took shape.

2020

The first iVPS Symposium.

Members met in Indianapolis — held just before COVID-19 arrived.

2022

The second symposium.

Back in Indianapolis, the group reconvened and kept growing.

2023

The Buying Group takes shape.

At a members' dinner, the idea of collective purchasing took hold — and the first vendor agreement was announced by year's end.

2024

Third symposium — Fort Lauderdale.

The community continued to expand across markets.

2025

Fourth symposium — Orlando.

A growing program of practical, peer-led education.

2026

Fifth symposium — back home to Indiana.

Where it began, and where the next chapter starts.

2027

Sixth symposium — planning for Indiana again.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again, old and new members!
