From an email thread to a fifth annual symposium.
iVPS wasn't founded in a boardroom. It grew, year by year, out of conversations between independent physicians who wanted to learn from each other.
It started with an email.
A small group of independent venous physicians began trading notes — on EMRs and meaningful use, on reimbursement, and on new techniques like the newly approved VenaSeal.
The circle widened.
The thread kept going, and more independent providers were added to the conversation.
An idea: bring everyone together.
The idea of a first in-person iVPS symposium took shape.
The first iVPS Symposium.
Members met in Indianapolis — held just before COVID-19 arrived.
The second symposium.
Back in Indianapolis, the group reconvened and kept growing.
The Buying Group takes shape.
At a members' dinner, the idea of collective purchasing took hold — and the first vendor agreement was announced by year's end.
Third symposium — Fort Lauderdale.
The community continued to expand across markets.
Fourth symposium — Orlando.
A growing program of practical, peer-led education.
Fifth symposium — back home to Indiana.
Where it began, and where the next chapter starts.
Sixth symposium — planning for Indiana again.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again, old and new members!
